Mission
Date Opened9 November 1997 Activity SummaryNational Science and Technology Museum comprises two areas, the north building is exhibition halls, and the south complex includes library, conferences rooms and collection area. Promoting public technology education and raising technological literacy as well as to preserve the Taiwanese scientific heritage is the museum's primary objectives. There are 13 permenant exhibition galleries with different themes in science and technology. We have designed flexible educational activity areas and various kinds of activities and temporary exhibitions are held annually to attract visitors of all ages to experience the fun of science and technology. Another objective is to preserve artifacts of technological craftsmanship, record the history of technological development, and increase public understanding of technology and its influences. With years of effort, an impressive amount of collections have been built up. Funding is provided by the Ministry of Education. The museum also seeks corporate sponsorship and collaboration.
