Dear ASPAC Family,
We know that a number of you have been asking the EXCO for the dates and details of the 2022 annual conference at the start of the year. But considering the uncertainties of the pandemic as well as the war in Ukraine, we moved the decision to a later date to assess as much as we could that we can indeed meet again in person and do this as safely as possible.
We are well aware of all the difficulties, including budgetary, on travel, especially after our institutions closed for long periods of time. But we want to highlight the immeasurable value of the strength we get from each other's passion and commitment, despite the enormous challenges in our midst, especially after a long stretch of time. To meet again and collaborate to do the work that we do in science engagement could be one form of resistance to help us triumph over the odds.
We thus encourage ASPAC members to consider physically attending the annual conference in Bursa. For those who cannot go in person, select sessions would be made available to them online.
